Terms of use
1. Agreement
Glance French (“the app”) is made by Brock-Chain (“we”). By installing or using the app you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
2. Your licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own learning. You may not copy, sell, rent or redistribute the app, or take it apart, except where the law allows it. Content under an open licence keeps that licence (see Licences and credits).
3. Learning content
The app helps you learn French and prepare for exams such as the DELF, the TEF and the TCF. It does not promise any exam result or level. The word list comes from open sources (Wiktionary, Tatoeba) and may contain mistakes; tell us and we will fix them.
4. Exam names
DELF and TCF are products and trademarks of France Éducation international; TEF is a product and trademark of CCI Paris Île-de-France. Glance French is not linked to, sponsored by or approved by either of them. Their names are used only to say which exams the course prepares for.
5. Purchases
If the app offers something to buy, Google Play processes the payment, and Google Play's terms and refund policies apply. The price shows in Google Play before you buy.
6. Your progress
Your progress stays on your phone and we never have a copy. Keep a backup with Settings, Export progress: we cannot restore progress you lose.
7. No warranty
The app is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we do not promise that it is free of errors or always available.
8. Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage or for lost data, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The date above changes, and using the app after an update means you accept the new terms.
10. Law and disputes
These terms follow the laws of Mexico. A dispute goes to the competent courts of Mexico, unless the consumer law of your country lets you go to the courts where you live. Consumers in Mexico may also go to PROFECO.
